Hail Register - Directory of Hail-Resistant Components
Effective protection through tested and certified solutions.
Initial Situation
The Elementarschaden Präventionszentrum (EPZ), an initiative of the Austrian Fire Prevention Agencies, needed a central and easily accessible platform to list hail-resistant building components. The goal was to provide builders and professionals with a reliable resource that transparently displays tested components and their certificates.
The register of tested products is managed in Switzerland in cooperation with the VKF-Vereinigung Kantonaler Feuerversicherungen.
Goals
- Interface connection to the existing database.
- Providing a modern user interface for easy query and display of tested components.
Solution
The EPZ hail register offers a comprehensive online directory of hail-resistant building components that have undergone a rigorous testing process. The selection of component categories is supported by a graphical diagram, which enables intuitive user guidance. All test data, such as products and certificates, are retrieved and listed via an interface.
The online tool was developed in collaboration with the cooperation partners SPS Marketing and Kuchinka & Partner and launched at the end of April 2018. The online platform continues to be maintained and supported to this day. It offers a modern and user-friendly interface for easy querying and display of tested components.
